EDUCATION

Arthur J. Sumrall, MD received his Bachelor of Science degree from Tuskegee University, his Master of Arts from DePauw University and his Medical Degree from Indiana University. He completed his Dermatology training at the Skin & Cancer Hospital, Temple University, where he was Fellow in Dermatology, working with Dr. Wallace H. Clark Jr., world renowned for his advances in melanoma.

CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSING

Dr. Sumrall is Board Certified with the American Board of Dermatology as well as with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine. He is a licensed Physician in Indiana and Florida. Additionally, in February of 2004, Dr. Sumrall was certified in Mesotherapy by Dr. Le Coz of France.

MEDICAL PRACTICES

As founder and owner of Longevity Institute and Sumrall Dermatology and Cosmetic Surgery, Dr. Sumrall primarily practices in dermatology and wellness medicine. His hospital affiliations include Methodist Hospital and St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

PRODUCT DEVELOPMENT

Dr. Sumrall is co-developer and licenser of topical skin rejuvenation medications (products for damaged hair and dry skin), non-oil based hair moisturizer and non-oil based sun block. He was also instrumental in developing a natural product from magnesium sulfate and essential oils for therapeutic bath soaks.

INTERNATIONAL LECTURER AND AUTHOR

Dr. Sumrall travels world-wide as an international lecturer and is the author of many well-known clinical works and refereed publications. From 1996 until 2003, Dr. Sumrall donated his time to the community by hosting a weekly radio show entitled, Medically Speaking with Dr. Sumrall, on Radio One’s WTLC-AM 1310 in Indianapolis. In 2006, he was invited to give a lecture in Amman Jordan and was made an honorary member of The Jordanian Dermatological and Venereological Society (JDVS). Recently, he attended the International Society of Dermatological Surgery meeting in Venice, Italy and was also asked to speak at a conference in Cape Town, South Africa in May of 2008.

COMMUNITY AFFILIATIONS AND AWARDS

Dr. Sumrall is a member of the Kiwanis Club of Downtown Indianapolis, a life member of the NAACP and Longevity Institute is an active member of the Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce. He continues to embrace new medical advancements and strives to be the best in his field. He also attends various training courses every year in the United States and in Europe. In August, 2003, Dr. Sumrall was the proud recipient of a prestigious award from the National Medical Association for his work as a pioneer in Cosmetic Dermatology in Ethnic Skin.
